Vanessa Claros, R.Ac Vanessa is a registered Acupuncturist, who understands that the journey to creating a balanced and optimal state of health is not a straight and narrow path. It is unique and personal to every individual. One of the reasons Vanessa fell in love with Chinese medicine is because of the way it view’s the mind-body connection. Like Yin and Yang, one cannot exist without the other, they are mutually dependent and can directly influence each other. Our external environment can affect our internal environment and vice versa. In addition to Acupuncture, you can expect Vanessa to use a variety of treatment modalities such as : Cupping Therapy Electroacupuncture (the application of electrical stimulation to acupuncture needles) Tui Na & Gua Sha (Chinese massage and soft tissue manual therapy) TCM Food Therapy Recommendations She believes that an integral part of healing is knowing how to listen to your body’s signals, or symptoms. Too often she finds that people accept signs of imbalances as “just the way it is.” Vanessa’s mission is to support her patient’s by educating and empowering them to take an active part in their healing journey. Even when symptoms arise, it is an invitation to heal. With a trauma-informed approach, Vanessa understands the importance of creating an inclusive therapeutic environment, and meeting her patient’s where they are. She strives to make her patients feel heard, respected and safe, allowing for deeper healing.
